Strategy

Rhino is most commonly used as a cost-efficient tank that can protect any other unit in the game due to its melee range. It can even be frontline for difficult-to-protect units like Crawler, Fang, or Wasp! With careful positioning, one can try to distract chaff clear units with the Rhino and win valuable tempo without too much investment. Armor Enhancement is great value overall, adding a lot of tankiness for little investment, especially against low DPS boards. This tankiness and survivability can be further improved with techs like Field Maintenance, Photon Coating, Power Armor and Wreckage Recycling. Alternatively, Whirlwind and Mechanical Rage help the rhino close the gap to key units and take them out. Final Blitz is rhino’s signature technology, allowing it to self-destruct when killed, dealing damage to all nearby ground units, regardless of team. This can serve as a deadly trap against aggressively deployed units when combined with Photon Coating to prevent EMP from disabling the explosion.
