Technologies
Increases range by 40
Decreases HP by 30%, attacks will ignite an area of 15m around the target. The area burns for 12s, dealing 290 damage per second.
Attacks have a chance to ignite the target unit. For 2s, ignited units lose 6% HP per second and cannot restore HP.
Increases HP by 30% and automatically restores 4.5% of Max HP per second upon taking damage
Increases Fire Badger’s ATK by 85%
Increases the Fire Badger's HP by 80%. When its HP drops below 50%, it charges an enemy and detonates, dealing damage equal to its remaining HP to all units in a 40m radius and igniting the ground at the impact site.
Increases HP by 50%. Taking damage increases the Fire Badger's Range by 70 for 20s.
Strategy
In the early game, the Fire Badger does a bit of everything, like a Sledgehammer. It tanks, clears chaff, and generally serves as a support for early-game DPS units like void eyes. With technologies, the Fire Badger later becomes one of the fastest chaff clear options relative to its cost. Napalm can spread fire on the ground to kill Crawlers even after the Badger has died, while Scorching Fire simply helps a living Badger kill Crawlers more quickly. Meanwhile, technologies such as Counter-Fire, Scorching Charge, or Field Maintenance can enhance the survivability of the Fire Badger while providing various types of utility when range is not needed. Ignite is a very niche tech that can allow Badgers to cripple high HP units. The Badger is also capable of igniting oil with its weapon, turning the battlefield ability from a movement slow into a board wipe.
