Melting Point
Giant Anti-Unit Bot
Melting Point is a 400-cost giant unit that ramps up damage as it attacks, making it ideal against other giant and high-hp units.

Technologies
Increases HP by 60% and converts damage dealt to HP
Increases attack range by 40
Decreases Melting Point's range by 30 but allows Melting Point to fire 5 rays that each deal 17% of their original damage
Launches 16 electromagnetic shots at the enemy every 15s. Each electromagnetic shot deals 4,000 damage to the Energy Shield, slows all hit units, and disables their Tech for 8s. Electromagnetic shots have a range of 180m
Produces 8 Crawlers to join the battle every 36s for 3 times
Increases HP by 50%, and blocks 60 damage when attacked. The damage blocking effect increases with the Rank. And for each Rank, blocks an additional 60 damage.
Strategy
Melting point has a very specialized role compared to other giant units. It has a long range, and is often the best response against enemy units with a high HP pool. Due to the ramp up of its beam attack, the Melting Point is terrible at dealing low HP targets, so it is best paired with chaff clear units. The most transformative technology that melting point has is Energy Diffraction, which removes a chunk of range but gives 5 beams that can target separate enemies. This makes the melting point strong against medium-sized units, but weak against enemy melting points and EMP, including the melting point’s own Electromagnetic Barrage. Otherwise, Range Enhancement and Energy Absorption enhance the Melting Point’s role as a long-range giant sniper that can rarely be beaten once it locks onto its preferred target. In drawn out games, Crawler Production can provide an edge by generating more distraction during a round.
