Technologies

Gun-launched Missile
Gun-launched Missile
Cost400

Launches a rocket from its arm cannons every 14 seconds. The rocket has a range of 180, causing 22,500 damage to enemies within a 25m radius of the hit point. Damage increases by 22,500 per unit Rank increased.

Mountain Plating
Mountain Plating
Cost400

Blocks 700 damage when attacked. The damage blocking effect increases with the Rank. And for each Rank, blocks an additional 700 damage.

Saturation Bombardment
Saturation Bombardment
Cost500

Increases splash range by 3, and each attack fires 16 shells in succession, and shells spread out over a wide area, but increases attack interval by 120%.

Extended Range Ammo
Extended Range Ammo
Cost400

Increases range by 160, but decreases ATK by 75%.

Smoke Bomb
Smoke Bomb
Cost350

Launches 10 Smoke Bombs towards the enemy every 40s. The Smoke Bombs have a max range of 180m and a minimum range of 60m. The range of units within the smoke is reduced by 35%.

Photon Loop

Cost400

Every 30s, covers the unit with a photon coating, decreasing damage received by 30% within 15s and grants immunity to Electromagnetic, Ignited, Acid, and Degeneration Beam effects

Anti-Aircraft Ammunition
Anti-Aircraft Ammunition
Cost300

Strategy

Compared to the War Factory’s body, the Mountain gives up the ability to protect its own flanks for a huge chunk of bonus HP and DPS against its primary target. It has four semi-independent cannons that together pack about as much firepower as three Fortresses. When all you need is a big chunk of stats, the Mountain is often the best choice. If needed, it can even make itself functionally immune to damage from half the units in the game with Mountain Plating, massively increase its DPS with Saturation Bombardment, or periodically blow up the nearest group of enemies with Gun-Launched Missile. Even air units are not totally safe due to the availability of Anti-Aircraft Ammunition, though it comes with a harsh attack penalty to compensate. Finally, the Mountain’s signature technology is Extended-Range Ammo, turning itself from a frontline tank into a backline menace, often requiring very different responses.
