MAG1 Season 2
After the success of the first season, MAG1 Season 2 featured double the participants as 16 pros competed across 4 groups to get into top 8. Two familiar faces, n_sacco and Flower Fairy, proved themselves again by securing their place in the semifinals. They were joined by Forgotten Arbiter and Agrypnocoma, who managed to separate themselves from the competition. The finalists from Season 1 proved too powerful however, as Sacco and Fairy faced off once again to determine this season’s winner. Though the final match was a BO7 this time, the result was decisive once more. In clean fashion, Fairy got their revenge against Sacco by sweeping the finals 4-0. During Season 2, Tarantulas and Fortresses saw plenty of play in aggressive compositions, with Melters and Arclights being a popular defensive option. Long range matchups saw the return of Marksmen, as Sandworms were less popular due to Fortress buffs. Arclights were a staple of all playstyles as the most popular chaff clear option.
