Strategy

Any starting pack works well with Rhino Specialist and almost any playstyle can incorporate a rhino on round 4 for at least a turn or two. The immediate impact of the rhino can be strengthened by avoiding playing anything with the same weaknesses as a rhino on the first 3 turns. The greatest strength of Rhino Specialist is the large power spike that it provides on round 4, especially with synergistic equipment such as Heavy Armor. At minimum, it can be sold for a 300-supply boost and reinvested into the board. However, although it is practically impossible to lose the game before round 4, it is possible to suffer a lot of damage before Rhino Specialist makes any impact on the game.
