Unit Orientation

When placing units on your board, you can decide whether to position them horizontally or vertically. While this mechanic doesn’t matter a ton for the novice player, it is useful to know once the intermediate level is reached.

• Vertical units will stagger their shots, often resulting in better chaff clear, while horizontal units offer more burst damage

• Horizontal units will spread out more than vertical units, often targeting different enemies and covering a bigger portion of the board with fewer deployments

• Vertical units move more predictably in a column while being concentrated in a smaller portion of the board

• Vertical fangs and Sledgehammers can be useful in front of the army to stall aggressive pushes from the enemy

• Vertical units are more vulnerable to units such as Stormcaller and Siege Scorpion
