Experience
Experience is an important mechanic in Mechabellum, allowing units to level up and gain their level 1 stats for half the unit cost. Careful however, as high level units will give away a lot of experience upon death. Be especially cautious when leveling chaff, as they will level enemy chaff clear extra quick.
-
A unit is worth twice its base cost at level 1
-
Level 1 Marksman = 2 x 100 (base cost) = 200 XP
-
Level 1 Melting Point = 2 x 400 (base cost) = 800 XP
-
Every extra level a unit has adds double its base experience worth
-
Level 3 Marksman = 200 (base xp) + 400 (level) + 400 (level) = 1000 XP
-
Level 3 Melting Point = 400 (base xp) + 800 (level) + 800 (level) = 2000 XP
-
When a unit is killed, it will give 50% of its worth to the killer and distribute the remaining 50% among all units that helped kill it
-
If a unit dies to a spell, device or ground effect, it will distribute its experience amongst all enemy units that are alive
-
If a unit gets hacked, it will instead distribute 100% of its experience equally among the Hacker and any units that did damage to the unit
-
When allied units that got hacked kill your units, they only gain 50% experience
