Blue vs Red was a community-wide Tug of War event that took place across 3 days from Friday 10 to Sunday 13 October 2025. Players could register to pick a side, after which their wins on 1v1 ladder contributed to their team’s success. Over 2000 games were played by nearly 300 players during the event. Standout performances for Team Red came from Mathismight (29-9) and RoosterPB (10-0) on Days 2 and 3, while Doxun boasted an 88% win rate for Team Blue. Throughout the entire event, Sabu (47), Whooped (32) and Big Blyan (28) had the most wins for Team Blue, while Mathismight (52), Egophobic (25) and Lordwar (24) contributed the most for Team Red. In addition to the ladder event, MAG1 hosted top players from each team to battle in BO3 Showmatches on Sunday. Flower Fairy made a last stand for Team Red, taking down Till. N_sacco and Apooche secured the remaining Showmatch victories for Team Blue. In terms of meta, asymmetrical (84%) and defensive (62%) opening strategies were most popular. Sabertooth emerged as the unit with the highest win rate, especially when paired with Hounds. Tarantula + Marksman and Mustang + Scorpion also proved very successful throughout the event. Both teams were neck and neck until the very last minutes, but in the end Blue won the event with 629 wins to 622.
